However, it was thru God's grace and help that I was able to overcome this "annus horribilis". Through these experiences I learn that life is a "mixed bag of good and bad, joy and pain - a reality that Solomon expressed when he wrote, 'Even in laughter the heart may sorrow, and the end of mirth may be grief'".
I wish you all the best for 2014 and pray that you will recover strongly so that you can continue with your studies.
Merry Christmas and blessed 2014 to you.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7853204965986587589.post-59103771255588930652013-12-30T20:29:35.506+08:002013-12-30T20:29:35.506+08:00Dear Fr Luke,

We pray that when it comes to actually sharing the final countdown and exchange of new year greetings and wishes, we'll be discerning and sincere in wishing others 'annus mirabilis'. Thanks for a really helpful reflection to ruminate over. Trust you're getting better each day. It was through one unique retreat that I found my true identity and encountered God's personal love for me. I used to think that I was being forgotten by Him, and through the ups and downs in life, He was never there for me. But, during that retreat, He told me He was always there for me. Isaiah 9:2 "The people who walked in darknesshave seen a great light;Upon those who lived in a land of glooma light has shone."

Since then, I have started to live my life with true Hope, Peace and Joy.

Father, may the New Year bring you New Hope, Joy & Peace too.

Peace
ZitaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
