To kneel before the Cross and to allow its deafening silence of non-violence to whisper its message and power into our closed ears and hearts.........’’

This slow & solemn revealing of the wood of the cross never fails to move me deeply for as you so aptly said there seems to be a ‘’deafening silence’’.......... where ‘ deep calls unto deep’ – where I feel the depth of God is seemingly calling out to the depth within our human self . It somehow seems to be a call to ‘Oneness ‘ ( or unity ) with Him - for on this simple wood, He who makes us in his image and likeness, himself becomes the love sacrifice to bridge the gulf between God and Man. It is also a very humbling and at the same time elating moment . Humbling because the Divine stoops down so that we may be lifted up higher than the angels and elating because He recognizes some kind of kinship between us that makes Him desirous of union for it is He who can give us the necessary grace through the Incarnation, Death and Resurrection of his son.
Thank you and God bless you Fr.
tessaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
