From now on you will have a crippled body but a healthy soul" and she has reached out to many about God just by having conversations over the phone.
We can never understand God's plans in this life, but I guess that's what faith is. You can't call it faith only if you see it.

Children of faith and with faith always amazes me. Reading this makes me think about myself fighting a debilitating illness too. What little faith I have compared to this beautiful girl.

Offering up my sufferings for her soul tonight and that her family will be comforted.

Thanks for sharing.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09404581534962933343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7853204965986587589.post-41472134483596937882017-01-19T12:29:23.753+08:002017-01-19T12:29:23.753+08:00"So what happens when it is still dark, or wh..."So what happens when it is still dark, or when death seems to hold its sway"
- at this point, it's as if one is seemingly playing legerdemain with Hope, and even Faith

And yet like you said, if one were to keep in mind that - "our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord gives us hope – no matter how dark the times or situations can be...." - for the Father knows what it is to lose a Son....then the grief & darkness would not cause one to spiral into despair....I like this!

This post provides interesting fodder for personal reflection especially when the going has been rough these few months. It makes me sit awhile - once again with Tennyson's Morte d'Arthur, drawn especially to these poignant lines -

"The old order changeth, yielding place to new,
And God fulfils Himself in many ways.........
I have lived my life, and that which I have done
May He within Himself make pure! but thou,
If thou shouldst never see my face again,
Pray for my soul. We pray especially because its been devastating for the parents and family members. May they also know that Mother Mary also suffered the loss of her son Jesus, and that Jesus rose to assure us all of the hope of everlasting life. Mother Mary, please intercede for Jalen's parents and family on earth that they may remain strong in their faith. Amen.
