There is so much truth in what you have shared.
It's like an affirmation for me..

I am actually learning to accept God's plans for me, it's not easy, especially when it's something new, it takes me out of my comfort zone. And it's gets to me especially when you feel so strongly that God was calling you to do something and it just fails, it does discourages me but I have learnt to let go just only because, I do not want the distance between God & me. I want that intimate relationship, just to be so close to Jesus, I can now easily and very quickly let things go. When I let go, it doesn't mean i am not upset, but I guess He gives me the joy & peace in my heart. And that makes me freely accept His ways & His plans.

Well spending time in adoration room has always helped, it keeps me sane away from the rest of the world, its noise and its commotions, always look forward to just rest with Him and in Him.

Agape & God bless,
Thank you Fr Luke for inspiring.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7853204965986587589.post-75683312519596455972010-07-22T05:10:14.400+08:002010-07-22T05:10:14.400+08:00I came across your blog a few weeks ago, thank you...I came across your blog a few weeks ago, thank you for the thoughtful reflections.

Your friend's suffering reminds me of St. John of the Cross, and other saints who experienced periods of emptiness/darkness in their lives, would reflecting on saints' lives help? Would you consider that to be discussed in another blog entry?

I'm sure many, like me, would appreciate being 'reminded' of what we should already know.

God bless you Fr Luke.Gracehttp://www.9racewan.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7853204965986587589.post-9303526747451441622010-07-20T23:20:22.179+08:002010-07-20T23:20:22.179+08:00Cooldiva says.....

How often do we just be still and let God come meet us at where we are? ...And let God help us move off from our starting block.NFAnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7853204965986587589.post-28892242345176957392010-07-20T10:44:16.011+08:002010-07-20T10:44:16.011+08:00Hi Fr Luke,

This line speaks so eloquently to me that I cannot but agree to the sentiment expressed. The times of pain & adversity, of suffering or grief are indeed our twilight moments where our minds and hearts are a-washed in dusky grayness. There is unsettling confusion, an uncomfortable ambiguity and we become dis-orientated even to the extent of losing a sense of our identity. I believe this is the time where we question our relationship with ourselves and especially with God. At times, our inner wilderness seems to open up to engulf us, causing us to panic and become weary. It is then we need to take the "necessary strides" and ( E Dickinson) "Not knowing when the dawn will come, I open every door..." for "God is waiting for you to open it...and come to experience that oneness with God that is the fullness of life itself..." ( Finley : Christian Meditation- Experiencing the Presence of God") Thank you Fr for an inspiring piece.
