An attitude of lowliness and humility indicates that the servant is not seeking self-glorification but all thanks, praise and glory be to God. Romans 12:3 said we are not "to think more highly of ourselves than we ought to think" but to have the attitude of humility that was in Jesus. Perhaps I measure myself against the worldly standards.

However, when I look closely to these two words: UseFULness and UseLESSness. There are still "use" in them. I could only conclude that it depends how we would make USE of our lives.

Peace be with u alwys(",)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7853204965986587589.post-82523045275287981462009-11-25T09:00:00.523+08:002009-11-25T09:00:00.523+08:00Dear Fr

Have I brought God's love to these people or made it difficult for them to experience His love?

I recall how I use to dread visiting those in homes & hospices for fear that my senses would fail me - the sight and smell, the moanings and groanings of the sick & dying. And yes, I felt useless in a useless situation. However, each time I went away strengthened and renewed by the person whom I had visited. In the midst of all the pain and suffering, he/she still possessed that unwavering faith and expectant hope that God will take care of everything. I always believe that I had gained more than what I had spent (time & energy) in those situations. 2 such persons taught me the most useful lesson - only when you are prepared to die, then will you be able to start 'living'.

Thank you for sharing this in your blog.
